The China-based OEM Huawei will introduce a new smartphone from the Ascend line. The rumors for the handset suggest that it is named Huawei Ascend G628. Photos of the unannounced device reveal the elegant design of the model with slim side bezels and a bit thicker bezels on the bottom and the top. The rumor mill reveals that the Ascend G628 boasts mid-ranged specs.
Its most impressive feature is the 64-bit MediaTek processor. It will be the first model of Huawei packed with a CPU with 64-bit architecture. The phone is packed with a 5-inch screen with 720p resolution. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. Knowing that Android 5.0 Lollipop is the first update that can put in work the 64-bit processor, it gets easy to believe that Huawei will update the platform soon after the launching of the device. The authentic UI of Huawei Emotion 2.3 is running on top of the Google’s OS. Some of the features pre-installed on the phone are the ultra-power saving mode and a “child mode.”
The chipset equipped in Ascend G628 is MediaTek MT6752 that is integrated with octa-core processor with Cortex-A53 ticking at 1.5GHz. The smartphone boasts a 1GB RAM. It is provided with 8GB native memory and a slot for microSD cards. The upcoming handset supports TD-LTE and TD-SCDMA. The connectivity features give the clue that the Huawei Ascend G628 will be launched only in China. The mobile operator that will release the smartphone is China Mobile. As expected the handset is a dual-SIM device.
Huawei has not confirmed the rumors about the upcoming mid-ranger. The photos and the growing number of leaks suggest that it will be announced pretty soon.
