Samsung officially introduced the Samsung Galaxy A7. The new member of the Galaxy A line joins Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 released in the end of 2014. All the phones in the line are outfitted with metal panels. The Galaxy A7 stands-out with a thinner body compared to the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3. It is only 6.3mm thick. The screen equipped in the new phone is Super AMOLED with HD resolution and 5.5-inch diagonal. In its gut is integrated an octa-core CPU.
The single SIM variant has 32-bit architecture and Exynos 5430chip – quad cores A15 set at 1.8GHz and quad-core A7 ticking at 1.3GHz. The dual-SIM model works with 64-bit architecture with Snapdragon 615 chipset on board – A53 quad-core 1.5GHz and quad-core A53 clocked at 1.0GHz. It is packed with 2GB RAM. The 16GB native memory provided by default in the phone might seem not enough to some users. Samsung has included a slot for microSD cards that enables expansion of the storage. The platform that runs on the hardware with mid-ranged capabilities is Android 4.4 KitKat. Samsung has customized it with its own user interface TouchWiz. Some of the most interesting features that are pre-installed on Galaxy A7 include Rear-cam Selfie, Private Mode, Ultra Power Saving Mode, Wild Selfie etc.
The couple of cameras that are equipped in the new handset consist of a 13MP camera on the back and a 5MP snapper on the face side. It works with a 2600mAh cell. The new addition of the Samsung supports 4G LTE and NFC along with the standard Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. The color variants for Samsung Galaxy A7 are gold, white and dark blue. The releasing of the new phone is expected in the first quarter of the year; however exact date is not unveiled yet. The expectations for the price suggest $600 (around €509).
