By year’s end, these Samsung phones will have Android 13

Members who are prepared to take a little risk have had access to the beta firmware for the past few weeks while Samsung has been hard at work getting One UI 5.0 ready for a select Galaxy handsets. Customers who don’t wish to participate in the beta program, on the other hand, still need to wait until they get access to Android 13 in order to experience the most recent updates and features. Fortunately, we now know which Galaxy devices will undoubtedly get the stable One UI 5.0 firmware before the end of 2022, so we’ve got some excellent news for you.

This year, Samsung will roll out the stable One UI 5.0 upgrade based on Android 13 for its Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 models, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Flip 4. The good news for non-flagship customers is that these are flagship phones, thus it is assumed that they would receive precedence for the stable firmware upgrade. The icing on the cake is that Samsung also intends to make One UI 5.0 available to Galaxy A53 users by 2023.

One of Samsung’s most popular mid-range product lines is the Galaxy A5x series. Four years of Android OS updates were promised when the 2022 model was shown in March. One UI 4.1, which is based on Android 12, was pre-installed on the Galaxy A53, making the impending One UI 5.0 the first significant firmware update.

The Galaxy A53 appears to be the only mid-range Samsung phone to get Android 13 and One UI 5.0 before 2023 at this moment. However, since it’s still just September, preliminary firmware plans can always be modified. We’re sure to learn about it this year, assuming that additional Galaxy phones are added to the One UI 5.0 queue. As always, we’ll keep you updated as soon as we learn more.
