BlackBerry scheduled the launch date of BlackBerry Passport for today, 24th of September and right on time the new flagship of the Canadian manufacturer landed on the shelves of carriers and retailers in the US, the UK and Canada. The new high-end phone is provided with a 4.5-inch display with square shape and a resolution of 1440 x 1440p. On the inside of the model is provided a quad-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and Snapdragon 800 chip. 3GB RAM are assured in the configuration. It comes with 32GB built-in memory and a slot for microSD cards.
The BlackBerry Passport runs on the new update BlackBerry 10.3 OS. Users of the handset have the possibility to use the virtual assistant dubbed “BlackBerry Assistant.” It takes voice commands and type queries. Among the interesting features in the platform is the BlackBerry Hub with “Instant Actions” included in it. It provides more fulfilling user experience by bringing easy access to quick actions such as deleting emails, accepting a calendar invitation etc. BlackBerry Passport is armored with QWERTY keyboard with unique design and functionality. It looks and works differently from the classic QWERTY keyboards of BlackBerry’s devices.
The new feature has the capability to works as a trackpad that enables users to scroll through pages when browsing. Overall the new keyboard gives a lot more options and possibilities to users compared to the standard QWERTY. BlackBerry Passport is assured with a 3450mAh. The flagship boasts a 13MP camera on the rare panel. On the front side is set a 2MP camera. It supports a rich abundance of connectivity features, including GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE etc.
BlackBerry Passport is launched by AT&T at price of $250 on a contract. The lowest price for the unlocked model is available in the online store of BlackBerry – $599 instead of $699 retail price.
