What is the most impressive feature in the latest flagships of Sony? It is the 20.7MP rare camera. In fact the camera is so appreciated by users that the Japanese manufacturer decided to integrate it in the last three flagships – Sony Xperia Z1, Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 and their mini variants part of the “Compact” line.
The phones are working with the same camera module but that doesn’t mean that Sony is not focusing on improving of the performance of the camera. One of the new capabilities of the snapper in the latest flagship Xperia Z3 is the abundance of modes. Some of them are: Face in, Sound Photo, Sticker creator, AR Fun and Multi Angle. Those of you who already own Xperia Z3 or Xperia Z3 Compact probably already love some of the new features, like the possibility to record some of the sounds while taking a photo Sound Photo), the possibility to record videos and take photos from different angles (Multi Angle mode), working with the front and the rare camera simultaneously (Face in) etc.
The AR Fun mode is among the most extraordinary features that enable users to add special effects to the image before snapping the photo. It works with simple swipes through the screen that add the chosen effect from balls to snowflakes. This mode supports doodle sketches, so if you want to draw something in the picture before it is taken, use the AR Fun. There is a possibility for adding text as well, so don’t be afraid to be creative. The AR Fun mode works with a special tech developed by Sony for face recognition dubbed “SmartAR Engine.” The tech makes it possible for the camera to detect 3D objects and faces and then decorating the image with different effects.
