Amazon is one of the main players on the tablets’ arena. The company is ready to offer few new models slates that have the potential to satisfy users’ expectations. The largest device is the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 tablet. It sports a 8.9-inch screen with a resolution of 1600 x 2560p. In the heart of the slate is ticking a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.5GHz with 2GB RAM. It runs on Fire OS 4 which is the newly announced platform of Amazon based on Android. The main camera of Fire HDX 8.9 tablet is 8MP on the back paired with front camera. The slate is provided with Dolby Atmos Audio. It has 16GB storage on board. The price of the new device is $379. Amazon is ready to offer loads of accessories for the tablet. Users will have the option to choose LTE-enabled variants as well, working on the bands of Verizon and AT&T.

Along with the 8.9-incher Amazon introduced two new Fire HD tablets. They come with a 6-inch screen and with a 7-inch display. Both devices boast 800 x 1280p. They work with a processor with four cores. The main camera of the models is relatively modest – only 2MP resolution. They are equipped with a VGA camera on the front panel. Both slates come in two options – with 8GB or 16GB native memory. The 6-incher will be available for $99 after 2nd of October. The 7-incher costs $139.

Last, but not least of the new tablets of Amazon are purposed for the kids. Fire HD Kids Edition tablet is available in two versions. The bigger model sports a 7-inch screen while the smaller slate is with 6-inch. The screens are HD. The slates boast basic capabilities and features, like a quad-core CPU, a pair of cameras etc. They provide very good sound quality thanks to the Dolby Digital. The Fire HD Kids Edition are coming in pink, blue and green. The 6-incher will be offered for $149. The 7-inch slate will cost $149 when the tablets get released on 21st of October. The Fire HD Kids Edition slates are not unbreakable but they come with two-year worry-free guarantee. It assures the possibility for users to replace the tablet with a new one if its gets broken.
