Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch 5 series, despite being a relatively new product, has already received its second software update, which includes bug fixes as well as enhancements to the gadget as a whole and performance.
It should be noted that the upgrade is primarily for cellular versions of the smartphone. The new update, which has the software version number R9x5USQU1AVH6, is currently available for Verizon customers. A global roll-out should shortly follow in more locations.
The recently released Galaxy Watch 5 has some major upgrades, including the Exynos W920 chipset, which has a 1.18GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and the most recent Wear OS version. The hardware for the Galaxy Watch 5 series features a well-known layout for the ordinary model and an entirely new appearance for the “Pro” edition.
Similarly, Samsung’s “older” Galaxy Watch 4 received an upgrade via the Galaxy Watch 4 Manager app, bringing new watch faces similar to those on the Galaxy Watch 5 and a modified user interface.
Owners of the Galaxy Watch 5 can use the Galaxy Wearable app on their phones to check for updates by going to Watch Settings > Watch Software Update > Download and Install.
