Sony SmartEyeglass is coming in spring

Sony SmartEyeglass will be launched in March

When Google introduced the innovative wearable device Google Glass loads of users thought it is too extraordinary and even futuristic and not that convenient for daily use. However Google took the challenge to present all the advantages of the extraordinary eye-wear and focused on developing the produce by adding new capabilities and features to provide more fulfilling user experience. In terms of appearance and design the Google Glass was not much liked by users at first. Now more companies are releasing their versions of innovative eye-wear and it seems that the design of the Google Glass wins against the competition.

One of the upcoming devices is Sony SmartEyeglass. It sports a unique design that is much more bulky than the Glass. The thick and wide frames make the eye-wear model a little unattractive. In terms of specs and capabilities the SmartEyeglass is equipped with loads of sensors, such as ambient light sensor, electronic compass, accelerometer, and gyroscope. There is a 3MP camera built-in as well. Among the weakness of the upcoming wearable tech is the absence of integrated battery. The device works with an external cell. Users clip the battery on their clothing in order to use SmartEyeglass.

The Japanese manufacturer recently launched the SDK for the model. Now it is developers’ turn to expand the capabilities of the eye-wear and to make it more attractive with new features like the development of the augmented reality apps. The SmartEyeglass is compatible with Android-running smartphones and tablets. It runs Android apps but if you expect that the SmartEyeglass is working on Android OS, you will be disappointed. Sony is planning to launch the wearable tech in spring 2015. The price of the SmartEyeglass is still unknown. Stay tuned. Meantime watch the video that the company launched to present the SmartEyeglass.
