Around 6 months after the Japanese manufacturer Sony took the wraps off from Sony Xperia Z2 and one year after the debut of the flagship Sony Xperia Z1, the company is ready to unveil the new high-end smartphone Sony Xperia Z3. The model is among the most frequently discussed devices in the tech world and a frequent visitor of the gossips and leaks of the rumor mill.
The revealed information until now confirms that the new Xperia will boast very powerful hardware and the newest software packed in the characteristic for the Xperia Z design with a panel made of metal and glass with water-resistant capabilities. The debut of the phone is expected to happen in less than two weeks at the Sony’s IFA event in Berlin. For the most impatient of us, the rumor mill delivered a fresh new leak that consists of the full sheet of specs of Sony Xperia Z3. The source of the information is TENAA (the Chinese equivalent of FCC in the US). The database includes images of the flagship along with its specs. Something interesting we learn from the entry is that there are two models listed – L55t with TD-SCDMA and LTE, and L55u with WCDMA and LTE support.
The listed specs pretty much confirmed the information we know from early leaks. It arrives with 5.2-inchscreen, 1080p. In the gut of the model is working a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.5GHs with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chip. 3GB RAM are included in the configuration. The internal memory is 16GB with microSD slot available for expansion. The platform that operates on the Xperia Z3 is Android 4.4. The primary camera is the same we have seen in the last 2 flagships – a 20.7MP sensor on the back, made of Sony. On the front is set a 2MP camera. Xperia Z3 comes with all the connectivity features for a flagship. There are rumors that instead of purple color variant that we know for the previous models, the new high-end phone will be released in Amber.
