LG G Flex2 is official. The first big announcement for CES 2015 is the new generation high-end smartphone with curved display. It is the successor of the G Flex released over a year ago. The screen of G Flex2 is with a 5.5-inch diagonal, P-OLED with 1080p resolution. It is curved to 700mm radius, following the natural curve of user’s face. If we compare it to the original device, the new addition of LG is smaller in size but with better resolution of the screen. The display is strengthened with LG-made glass which is 20% more durable than vastly user Corning Gorilla Glass in other flagships. Just like its predecessor the G Flex2 has self-healing coating which much improved capabilities.
The new smartphone is very powerful and fast. It boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip and 2GB RAM. LG releases the phone in two versions – with 16GB and 32GB expandable memory. The new curved handset comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop per-installed. It is equipped with a decent pair of cameras including a 13MP rare sensor with dual-LED, OIS+ and Laser Auto Focus. The secondary camera is with 2.1MP. The LG G Flex2 supports gesture shot for selfies that can recognize a hand-gesture from a distance of 1.5m. In short – taking selfies has never been easier. The new smartphone is outfitted with a 3000mAh battery on board. It supports a great range of connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 with Apt-X handle wireless connectivity, GPS, 3G and 4G LTE. In addition the device works with FastCharge feature. It has a microUSB 2.0 port that has SlimPort for TV out.
LG G Flex2 boasts an attractive design. It comes in two colors – Flamenco Red and Platinum Silver. The new curved smartphone is coming to lots of markets worldwide. It will be launched in South Korean in the last week of January.
