Sales of the Nothing Phone (1) have surpassed the milestone of 100,000

The Nothing Phone (1) has achieved impressive sales numbers in India through its launch partner Flipkart in just over two months since its release. These results are especially encouraging for a new player in India’s extremely competitive sector.

So much so that learning that the Nothing Phone (1) is somewhat successful in India didn’t really come as a surprise. Vice President & General Manager of Nothing India Manu Sharma told GSMArena that the company has sold more than 100,000 units of the phone so far.

Sharma added that at the moment, the Nothing Phone (1) is the top-selling smartphone on Flipkart in the INR 30,000 and higher price range. Customers responded positively to the phone, with over 10 million choosing to be notified in advance of the launch on Flipkart.

It should be noted that although though 100,000 units is a pittance in comparison to what other firms like Apple, Samsung, and Xiaomi are moving, it is still a very outstanding number for a single market and for a relatively new company that relied on an invite system to sell the handsets.

Sharma emphasized that the company’s goal is on offering a strong software experience over an accelerated release cycle when asked about the imminent Android 13 update. It was challenging to implement the update sooner due to the release of Android 13 and the Phone’s (1) development schedule.

There will be temporary price reductions and cash back incentives for the Nothing Phone (1) as India’s festival season approaches. Price points for the 8+128GB and 8+256GB models are INR 31,999 (currently 33,999), INR 34,999 (currently 36,999), and INR 37,999, respectively (currently 39,999). Additionally, customers of specific banks would receive a cash refund of INR 3000.
