Recently we shared the leak with information for the specs of Spice Android One Dream UNO Mi-498. The leak surfaced on the web hours before the announcement of the first devices part of Android One. Now the new smartphones are official. Meet the three budget handsets part of the Android One project – Spice Android One Dream UNO Mi-498, Micromax Canvas A1 and Karbonn Sparkle V. Google unveiled them in New Delhi, India. Android One is a program that includes different manufacturers in developing markets and helps them for launching of budget smartphones.
The first three handsets from Android One are packed with the same specs and capabilities. They feature 4.5-inch screens, resolution 854 x 480p. The silicon ticking in the gut of phones is with four cores clocked at 1.3GHz with MediaTek chipset. The CPU is paired with 1GB RAM. The budget handsets arrive with 4GB native memory out-of-the box and a slot for microSD slot for cards. The first Android One models run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat update of the Google’s platform. On the rare panels are equipped cameras with 5MP resolution. On the front panels lie 2MP snappers. The capacity of the batteries armored in the phones is 1700mAh. Two of the phones of the manufacturers Kabonn and Spice boast 8GB internal memory. The connectivity features supported by the handsets are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G. Most of the entry-level devices support dual-SIM. The trio that is introduced with Android One are not exceptions and they also have dual-SIM capabilities.
One of the advantages of the new phones are the regular Android updates. The three smartphones are only a little part of the project. Other manufacturers like HTC, Panasonic and Lenovo will also launch entry-level devices in the coming months. Google has big plans for Android One. Stay tuned.
