Before the end of 2022, Google promised when the Pixel Buds Pro were debuted earlier this year, a number of new functions would be added to the earphones. Spatial Audio, one of these planned capabilities, was even hinted at in the Android 13 QPR1 Beta, where it showed up as a new toggle without any obvious functionality.
Google is aiming to add a five-band equalization and volume balancing to the earphones, according to some information that the fine people at 9to5Google were able to gather. The Pixel Buds app recently received an update, and it mentions a new EQ feature that will have five horizontal sliders and seven presets for “Balanced,” “Clarity,” “Default,” “Heavy Bass,” “Last Saved,” “Light Bass,” and “Vocal Boost.”
The Google Pixel 6a and Pixel buds Pro were also released in July. They include cool features like Google’s recently launched “Silent Seal” design, 11mm drivers, and up to 31 hours of battery life, to name a few, in addition to the impending software updates we’ve discussed above.
