The scheduled for 15th of January event of Xiaomi was much anticipated by mobile users because of the expected star of the show – the next high-end flagship of the company with killer specs and remarkable look. Just on time the event was held in China where Xiaomi introduced not one but two new high-end, modern and truly fascinating phablets – Xiaomi Mi Note and Xiaomi Mi Note Pro. Both devices are fully equipped with advanced specs and capabilities “dressed” in premium shells.
Xiaomi Mi Note reminds a lot to its main rival – Apple iPhone 6 Plus. It sports a larger display with 1080p resolution and 5.7-inch screen made by Sharp/JDI. Some of the specs of the screen include a 95% NTSC color garmut and contrast ratio of 1400:1. Users will enjoy the special reading mode that decreases the eye strain. Xiaomi Mi Note is outfitted with a metal frame and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the back and the face sides. The front panel of the phablet has 2.5D glass slightly curved at the edges. The backplate of the model features 3D glass with more noticeable curve. Under the hood of the premium corpus of Mi Note is working a quad-core processor. It is set at 2.5GHz and coupled with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset and 3GB RAM. The options for storage are two – either 16GB or 64GB.
The pre-installed software on the model is Android 4.4 KitKat below MIUI 6. The primary camera of Mi Note is made by Sony IMX214 CMOS sensor with 13MP, OIS and f/2.0 aperture. The flash is two-tone. On the front panel lies a 4MP sensor with 2 micron pixel size that delivers similar quality as the UltraPixel camera of HTC One. The cell that is integrated in the device is with a capacity of 3000mAh. Xiaomi Mi Note supports dual-SIM with 4G.
The launch date of the new high-end phablet is 27th of January. The pre-orders for the device begin on 20th. It cots Chinese Yuan 2299 (around $371) for the 16GB variant and Chinese Yuan 2799 ($451) for the phablet with 64GB storage. The model is announced in the classic colors – white and black.
