We have been waiting 6 months for the new flagships of Sony and finally we can announce that Sony Xperia Z3 and Sony Xperia Z3 Compact are officially part of the arena of the high-end smarphones. They were unveiled at IFA accompanied by the budget smartphone of the Japanese manufacturer dubbed Sony Xpera E3. Let’s start with it.
The entry-level Xperia E3 stands-out with a 4.5-inch glass with 480x854p resolution. On the inside is provided a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2GH in combination with 1GB RAM. As expected the storage users get with Xperia E3 is not a lot – only 4GB but it can be expanded at any time via microSD cards. The operating system that is running on the phone Android 4.4 KitKat. It is packed with a couple of cameras – a rare 5MP sensor and 1.3MP camera on the front panel. The cell working in the device is with a capacity of 2330mAh.
The high-end new flagship of Sony is Xperia Z3. It comes with slightly improves specs compared to its predecessor. The screen of Xperia Z3 is with 5.2-inch with a resolution of 1080p. In the heart of the phone works a quad-core CPU with 2.5GHz power and Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chip. It has 3GB RAM on board. There are 16GB expandable storage in the model. The body of the new flagship has certificates IP65 and IP68 for water-resistance and dust-resistance. The primary feature of the device is its main camera with 20.7MP resolution, LED flash, Exmor RS sensor and abundance of features. It has a 2.2MP front camera for selfies, video chats etc. The battery of Xperia Z3 is with 3200mAh. It supports 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and NFC. The color options for the model include copper, silver green, black and white.
The main difference that you will notice before the main flagship and its smaller version is in the size. Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is outfitted with loads of the specs equipped in the original device. However it comes in more compact body. The model boasts a 4.6-inch screen with 720p resolution. Instead of 3GB, it has 2GB RAM on boars. The cell that powers the model is 2600mAh. The color options for the Xperia Z3 Compact include orange, green, white and black.
