Jolla phone is the first smartphone running on Sailfish OS. The handset boasts a decent package of specs. It is available for purchase in markets across Europe and the phone finally is making its way to India. The retailer that offers the Jolla phone is Snapdeal. The smartphone is provided with 4.5-inch qHD screen. It is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The new device has a dual-core processor under the hood ticking at 1.4GHz. The configuration includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip paired with 1GB RAM. The platform running on the Jolla phone is Sailfish OS. It is developed by engineers previously working in Nokia. The platform is based on the MeeGo operating system. One of the advantages of the new operating system is the gesture-based UI. It can run Android apps.
